Exe Almada hotel was amazing. The room was very clean, with a nice decoration and had the essentials. It was tidied and cleaned daily. Staff was professional, super nice and always willing to help. We were particularly surprised with the warm welcome. We had a bag of candy hanging on the door when we checked in, as well as some Halloween shortbread biscuits. We felt special, comfortable and made the whole experience even better. Thank you to everyone!

The staff were very helpful and kind. The location is very good and safe feeling- it is close to good restaurants and a nice "locals" wine bar a block away. It is very close to the metro/subway and we arrived from the airport on the metro. Some reviews mentioned street noise but we hardly noticed any and we were only on the 2nd floor but with the windows closed the peacefulness was fine. It is close enough to the big tourist areas to walk to but yet just far enough where the streets aren't crowd crazy. We did not eat breakfast there because there were "locals" restaurants nearby for a better value. We needed a laundromat and there is one just across the street.

Location was amazing. The hotel smells beautiful! Staff were lovely and helpful. The restaurant/breakfast room looked lovely, although we didn’t eat there so can’t comment on the food, it was always busy so can’t be bad

The location is fantastic; it is definitely “up the hill(s)” from the river area, but it felt less touristy and there were so many great restaurants nearby. It was also clean, the bathroom was spacious and updated, and the concierge was so friendly and helpful- even booked us a reservation for 8 people the same night.

Excellent location, but the real bonus were the clean quiet rooms, comfortable beds, spacious bathroom and showers and the reception desk! The thermostat was very good and I was able to cool or heat the room as needed. The property has an elegant feel to it and although I did not take breakfast, the coffee was great and rest of the breakfast spread looked good too.

The balcony was a lovely surprise, giving us views of the entire street. The bed was very large and comfortable. The location was perfect, not too central so it's calm and quiet, but you're never more than 20 minutes away from where you wanted to go. The hotel staff were all very helpful, giving us advice of where to go and helping us with our queries about the room.

Staff were wonderful - every single person. They were so happy "to have us visit their beautiful city", they answered every silly question with a smile and perfect answers. One night we brought 2 bottles of wine back to our room but we didn't have a bottle opener - I asked at Reception not only did they open both bottles they gave me two wine glasses. The breakfast was great and a fantastic way to start the day. Our room was a corner suite - we had 4 windows and could walk around the corner on our balcony - we absolutely loved it. When we arrived we, cheekily, asked was our room a good one? The wee lassie behind the counter assured us it was one of the best in the hotel - no, we didn't believe it either but it was and she phoned us from Reception to see if we were happy. Happy - ecstatic!! The hotel is in a great location right beside the City Hall and it is all downhill to the main attractions also the hotel is surrounded by great restaurants. We will definitely visit again, not just the city but this great hotel.

It was clean and seemed well managed.Nice touch when we arrived shortly after, room service with bottled water and chocolates. The reception staff were helpful when we asked about local places to eat and wrote them down where they recommended.

Hotel has a good position. Staff was very friendly. Hotel was quiet and my quality of sleep was very good. Of course the hotel is in the city and downstairs cars and street cleaning service are passing but luckily windows are isolating the most of noise and inside is quiet. Breakfast was good, something for every kind of taste. I liked the corner of local portuguese food.
